Professional Experience
I have been a doula for over 6 years now and have had the ability to be a part of so many different birth experiences. My path to become a Hypnobabies Childbirth Educator happened when I supported a doula client that had a beautiful and comfortable birth experience using hypnosis. I love teaching Hypnobabies and sharing the amazing journey of pregnancy and birth with so many wonderful families. As a teacher, I began as a yoga instructor and over the years of being a yoga teacher and doula have found my path towards teaching Hypnobabies classes. I have used hypnosis with yoga students for several years and love teaching a complete childbirth education program using hypnosis.
Personal Experience: My Birth Stories
My first birth was a hospital birth and inspired me to become a doula and set me on the path of finding my passion to help others achieve a beautiful and empowering birth experience. I learned so much from my first birth, and although it was empowering, it was by no means painless.
After being a doula for many years and gaining lots of perspective, when it was time for my next baby, we planned our first Hypnobabies birth. We had a very peaceful and wonderful home-waterbirth using Hypnobabies and I remained comfortable throughout the entire process. You can read my whole Hypnobabies Birth Story here and watch a slideshow with my birth pictures.
....And then I became a Hypnobabies Instructor because I wanted to share that kind of birth experience with others.
Many of my Hypnobabies students comment that my personal experience using Hypnobabies for my own birth is so powerful for them and encouraging. It enables me to be able to answer questions both from an Instructor perspective, but also from the first-hand birth experience and mom-perspective as well.
